Today i am goin to talk about the new rules that have been put forward for the Austrlian Football league.

From when AFL began back in the 1980's there have been many adaptions to the rules of australian football which has consequently changed the way it has been played. The newest rule that hase come under some critisism has been the hands in the back rule that was altered at the start of this season. The new hands in the back rule states that and contact in someones back during a marking contest will result in a free kick.

This new rule i believe is a good rule that rewards the man in front position and also stops the bigger players form pushing the smaller player out of the contests.

Hey Rando.... thanks for your review of the new 'hands in the back rule' you make a valid point about it making the game fairer... but i beleive that as a backman for the 10 As that it gives the forward or opposing player an unfair advantage! and that umpires are taking the rule a bit over the top.
